We are looking for an AI Engineer with strong hands-on experience in LLM fine-tuning, speech recognition, and voice-to-voice systems. This is a research-driven yet production-focused role, where you'll experiment with cutting-edge models and take them all the way to scalable, real-world deployment. You will help shape eloelo's next-generation AI stack, working on systems that power real-time voice interactions at a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Research, fine-tune, and deploy Large Language Models (LLMs) for conversational and interactive use cases.
- Build and improve speech-to-text (ASR) and text-to-speech (TTS) systems.
- Develop voice-to-voice pipelines with low latency and high reliability.
- Experiment with multimodal AI systems combining voice, text, and context.
- Design evaluation frameworks for model quality, latency, and user experience.
- Optimise models for real-time inference at scale.
- Work closely with backend, infra, and product teams to ship AI features into production.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and translate it into practical applications.
Requirements
- 2-6 years of hands-on experience in AI / ML engineering or applied research.
- Strong experience with LLMs (fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RAG, inference optimisation).
- Hands-on experience with speech technologies: Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Text-to-Speech (TTS), Voice-to-Voice pipelines.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch / TensorFlow.
- Solid understanding of neural networks, transformers, and sequence models.
- Experience deploying models into production systems.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP).
- Strong problem-solving mindset and experimental approach.
- Experience with real-time / low-latency systems.
- Exposure to multilingual speech models.
- Experience working with streaming audio pipelines.
- Familiarity with MLOps (model versioning, monitoring, CI/CD).
- Contributions to research papers, open-source projects, or blogs.
- Experience in consumer-scale or real-time platforms.
