About the Role

We are looking for an AI Engineer to build and scale AI-native products powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), agents, retrieval systems, and multimodal AI capabilities.

This is not a traditional ML-only role. We are looking for builders who can combine software engineering, applied AI, and product thinking to create reliable AI systems that operate in real-world production environments.

You will work on systems that reason, retrieve, plan, summarize, automate workflows, and interact across chat, voice, and enterprise data ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

AI Application Development

• Build and deploy AI-powered applications using LLMs such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, or open-source models
• Develop intelligent workflows using RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), vector databases, agents, and tool-calling architectures
• Design conversational AI systems for enterprise and customer-facing use cases
• Build scalable APIs and backend systems for AI applications

AI Infrastructure & Engineering

• Integrate AI models into production-grade applications with focus on latency, reliability, observability, and cost optimization
• Build evaluation pipelines for prompt quality, hallucination detection, and response accuracy
• Work with vector databases like Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, or FAISS
• Implement caching, memory, and orchestration layers for AI systems

Data & Model Operations

• Fine-tune and optimize models where required
• Build pipelines for ingestion, chunking, embedding, and retrieval
• Work with structured and unstructured datasets
• Monitor model performance and continuously improve outputs

Collaboration & Product Thinking

• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ship AI-first experiences
• Translate ambiguous business problems into scalable AI solutions
• Rapidly prototype and iterate AI features based on user feedback

Required Skills & Experience

Core Engineering

• Strong proficiency in Python
• Solid backend engineering fundamentals (APIs, async systems, distributed systems)
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django

AI / LLM Ecosystem

• Hands-on experience with:
• OpenAI APIs
• Claude APIs
• LangChain / LlamaIndex / DSPy
• RAG architectures
• AI agents and tool calling
• Understanding of prompt engineering and evaluation methodologies

Databases & Infrastructure

• Experience with vector databases and embeddings
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, or similar systems
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

Frontend / Product Integration (Preferred)

• Familiarity with React or Next.js
• Ability to collaborate effectively on end-to-end AI product experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building AI-native products in production
• Exposure to multimodal AI (voice, video, OCR, vision)
• Experience with AI observability and evaluation tools
• Familiarity with healthcare, AdTech, SaaS, or enterprise workflows
• Experience using AI coding tools like Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, or Windsurf

• You ship AI features rapidly and reliably
• You think beyond demos and build production-ready systems
• You understand trade-offs between accuracy, latency, and cost
• You can move from prototype to deployment independently
• You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and solving open-ended problems

Experience

• 2–6 years depending on level
• Strong applied AI project portfolio preferred over academic-only experience
