The Role
You'll work directly with the core team to design and build the reasoning engine that powers our AI agent platform. This is a high-ownership engineering role where you'll take ideas from research to production and help define core system architecture.
What You'll Build
- LLM-based reasoning engines for analyzing agent decisions
- AI agents capable of multi-step reasoning and tool usage
- Tool-call understanding and semantic analysis pipelines
- Model evaluation systems to improve reasoning reliability
- Feedback loops that improve model decisions using real usage data
- Integrations with agent frameworks like LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, and OpenAI function calling
- Structured agent workflows with decision nodes and execution graphs
What We're Looking For
- Strong foundations in machine learning and NLP fundamentals
- Experience building applications using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source models)
- Experience designing and building AI agents (tool use, planning, memory, multi-step workflows)
- Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI
- Experience evaluating model outputs and improving performance through testing and iteration
- Comfort working with logs, telemetry, and structured data pipelines
- Bonus: experience with Rust, distributed systems, or large-scale AI systems

- Core systems: Rust (Tokio), Python, Typescript
- AI layer: OpenAI / Anthropic APIs and open-source models
- Data layer: SQLite (moving toward event pipelines)
