The Opportunity
As Principal AI Consulting Lead, you'll be the director's partner in the room with CXOs, turning ambiguous ambition into ROI-anchored programs, architecting execution with our AI Architect, and landing visible wins. You'll own relationships, scope, commercials, governance, and value realization across 2 Cr+ programs.
This is a builder role. You'll shape the playbook others will follow.
What You'll Lead
- Boardroom to shop-floor: Diagnose functions, pressure-test use cases, design phase-wise roadmaps, and get executive commitment.
- Program design & commercials: Craft SOWs, price for margin, define KPIs/OKRs, and set up governance (steerco, workstreams, cadence).
- Agentic transformation: With the AI Architect, translate business workflows into agentic AI architectures (tool use, retrieval/RAG, orchestration, guardrails, evals).
- Lighthouse delivery: Land 12 shippable pilots per client (68 weeks each) and scale into a portfolio of use cases.
- L&D at scale: Align PromptStart/Pro/Masters/OS with each client's roadmap; convert training into adoption and measurable productivity.
- Account growth: Multi-thread relationships, expand scope across functions/geos, own revenue & margin per account.
- IP & standards: Co-create reference architectures, SOW templates, ROI calculators, change playbooks, and evaluation frameworks.
Responsibilities (day-to-day)
- Run discovery with business & IT, map processes, and identify high-ROI interventions.
- Prioritise a value ladder: quick wins platformization operating model changes.
- Write crisp SOWs: problem, value hypothesis, deliverables, owner ladder, risks, pricing, acceptance criteria.
- Co-own technical feasibility reviews with the Architect (data, identity, tools, policies, privacy).
- Set up observability & evals for every pilot; publish weekly value reports to execs.
- Partner with L&D to ensure post-training activation (playbooks, prompt libraries, sandboxes).
- Manage commercials: revenue, GM, burn vs plan, change orders.
- Coach client teams; build internal BOTS.AI consulting muscle.
You'll Thrive Here If You
- Have 812+ years in management/tech consulting (MBB, Big 4, high-performing boutique) or operator-led transformation; you've led multi-stream programs to outcome.
- Are AI-fluent (not academic): understand LLMs, agent patterns (ReAct/tool use), RAG, evals, observability, data/privacy, and platform trade-offs.
- Can price, scope, and defend margins, while keeping exec sponsors excited.
- Are a systems thinker with a bias to ship; you turn ambiguity into a 6-week plan.
- Communicate with board-level clarity and shop-floor pragmatism.
Nice to have: India Inc. exposure (family businesses, mid-market), domain depth in 12 functions (e.g., HR, Finance, Manufacturing), experience deploying copilots/agents at scale, comfort with LangChain/AutoGen/CrewAI, vector DBs, and enterprise integration patterns.
How We'll Measure Success
- Commercials: Win rate, rev/GM per account, extension/expansion velocity.
- Delivery: On-time pilots, evaluation scores (task success, cost/tx, latency), adoption curves.
- Change: # of workflows re-wired, % teams activated post-L&D, stakeholder NPS.
- IP: Reusable architectures, templates adopted across clients.
