3D Geometry Processing & Agentic AI for Engineering
Location: Remote
Duration: 36 Months
Type: Internship / Experience Program
Compensation: Unpaid Internship | Performance-Linked Future Opportunity
About the Opportunity
Versalence Infocomm Private Limited is building the next generation of AI-driven engineering automation systemswhere CAD, BIM, and construction workflows are no longer manual, fragmented, or rule-bound, but intelligent, autonomous, and scalable.
This internship is designed as a deep-experience program, not a short-term task assignment. You will work on real systems that combine CAD/BIM processing, computational geometry, and Agentic AI, helping us shape the future of how engineering work is designed, validated, and executed.
This is an unpaid internship, intentionally structured for candidates who want serious, hands-on exposure to advanced engineering software and AI-driven automationnot classroom simulations.
Why This Internship Exists
Engineering workflows today are still heavily manualdesign interpretation, geometry validation, compliance checks, and repetitive modeling consume thousands of hours.
We are changing that.
At Versalence, we are building Agentic AI systems for engineeringAI that can:
- Understand CAD and BIM geometry
- Reason about spatial and structural constraints
- Validate designs against standards
- Generate and adapt engineering layouts autonomously
This internship directly contributes to that mission. You will help build foundational systems that enable AI-driven engineering automation.
What You Will Work On
You will be involved in core platform development, not peripheral tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and implement CAD file processing pipelines using tools such as CAD Exchanger SDK, Aspose.CAD, or equivalent
- Develop algorithms for 3D geometry and mesh analysis, including:
- Spatial positioning and clearance detection
- Bounding box and collision extraction
- Geometry normalization and validation
- Build AutoCAD / BricsCAD plugins to integrate AI-generated scaffolding and construction layouts
- Develop geometry validation engines to ensure compliance with scaffolding and safety standards
- Assist in BIM interoperability, including IFC parsing, mapping, and rule enforcement
- Support Agentic AI workflows that transform engineering inputs validated geometry deployable outputs
Who This Is For
This role is suited for candidates who want to move beyond traditional CAD usage and into engineering software, automation, and AI-assisted design systems.
Ideal Background
- Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Computer Science
- Hands-on exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, BricsCAD, or similar tools
- Programming experience in C#, C++, or Python
- Understanding of 3D geometry, mesh processing, spatial reasoning, or computational geometry
- Strong problem-solving mindset and curiosity about automation in construction and engineering
What You Gain
This internship is unpaid, but high-value in terms of experience and long-term opportunity.
You will gain:
- Real-world experience building engineering-grade CAD and BIM software
- Exposure to Agentic AI applied to engineering workflows
- Practical understanding of construction automation, IFC standards, and design validation
- Direct contribution to a platform shaping the future of engineering automation
- Strong portfolio-worthy work on real systems used in production
Long-Term Opportunity
Interns who outperform, show ownership, and demonstrate strong engineering ability will be offered:
- Permanent roles at Versalence
- Lucrative remuneration, aligned with skill level and impact
- The opportunity to grow into core engineering and AI architecture roles
This internship is a gateway, not a one-off engagement.
