Key Responsibilities:
Crop & Soil Management
- Advise on crop selection, cultivation techniques, and seasonal planting schedules.
- Conduct soil testing and recommend appropriate fertilizers, nutrients, and irrigation methods.
- Monitor crop growth, yield, and quality to optimize production.
Research & Development
- Participate in agricultural research projects to develop new farming methods or crop varieties.
- Collect and analyze data on crop performance, pest management, and soil health.
- Support trials, experiments, and field demonstrations for improved productivity.
Farmer Advisory & Training
- Provide technical guidance and training to farmers on modern agricultural practices.
- Promote sustainable and environmentally friendly farming techniques.
- Assist in implementing farm management plans and record-keeping.
Pest & Disease Management
- Identify and recommend solutions for pest, disease, and weed control.
- Advise on integrated pest management (IPM) practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards in pesticide and fertilizer use.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of crop performance, research results, and field activities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for management or clients.
- Assist in drafting technical manuals, guidelines, and training materials.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in agronomy, crop management, or agricultural research.
- Knowledge of soil science, crop physiology, and modern farming techniques.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and data recording tools.
