Job Overview
Multiplex Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Development Officer Agriculture to drive technical support, product demonstrations, farmer engagement, and field-level strategy execution across India. The role requires strong agronomic expertise, hands-on field experience, and the ability to train and guide marketing and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Field Engagement & Technical Advisory
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor crop health and diagnose pest, disease, and nutrient deficiency issues.
- Provide customized technical recommendations and corrective measures using company products.
- Handle farmer complaints and ensure timely resolution within defined TAT.
- Offer technical consultation to large-scale farms, polyhouses, and institutional clients.
2. Demonstration & Product Validation
- Plan and execute product demonstrations and field trials as per company guidelines.
- Ensure proper trial replication and statistical validity.
- Monitor product performance and collect farmer feedback.
- Prepare detailed reports and submit to Head Office (HO).
3. Technical Training & Team Development
- Conduct technical training programs for Marketing and Development teams across India.
- Prepare training materials and maintain training documentation.
- Conduct technical interviews for marketing and development staff.
- Support demand generation strategies based on product movement.
4. Seasonal Planning & Strategy
- Forecast crop seasons and sowing patterns.
- Plan field visits based on crop potential and regional demand.
- Explore opportunities in government tenders and institutional sales.
5. Reporting & Coordination
- Compile reports from subordinate development officers.
- Submit weekly, fortnightly, and monthly reports to management.
- Coordinate with marketing, CMM, distributors, and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. / M.Sc. / B.Sc. in Agriculture or Horticulture (M.Sc. preferred)
- 56+ years of experience in Agriculture / Fertilizers / Pesticides / Horticulture Industry
- Strong farmer connect and field-level experience
- Candidates from similar industry preferred
Additional Information
- Male candidates willing to travel PAN India preferred.
- Fluency in English, Hindi & South Indian Languages.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India
