Job Description

  • Independently negotiate, draft, vet, and review a wide range of domestic and crossborder commercial agreements (M&A, JV, IPR, technology, confidentiality, supply, procurement, charterparty).
  • Draft inhouse legal documents and maintain legal templates and knowledge systems.
  • Handle endtoend litigation (civil, criminal, commercial, PR, arbitration), including research, pleadings, counsel coordination, and dispute/settlement advisory.
  • Provide comprehensive legal opinions, especially on IP matters, backed by detailed research.
  • Drive legal awareness through newsletters, updates, and training.
  • Identify legal risks and advise stakeholders with mitigation strategies.
  • Protect brand/IP through ceaseanddesist notices and enforcement actions.
  • Support the General Counsel on licensing, IP, transaction structuring, technology, R&D, data protection, competition, trade compliance, and dispute resolution.
  • Prepare periodic legal reports for management.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance through support in gap analysis and audits.
  • Lead implementation, training, and stabilization of digital tools across IPR, litigation, real estate, and contract management.
  • Interpret regulatory frameworks and develop knowledge in environmental and sustainability laws.
  • Oversee real estate legal matters and documentation.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams on transactions, litigations, and new projects.
  • Conduct plant visits and participate in compliance audits.
  • Perform additional duties and support special projects as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • A degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
  • Expertise in legal operations within the Industrial/Manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent drafting,written and oral communication skills and excellent command over English
  • Excellent organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Produces high quality work product with a focus on learning

  • Interested in self, team and business development
  • Acts Decisively in alignment with full initiation, ownership and accountability.
