Key Responsibilities:
- Handle procurement of API Raw Materials, Intermediates, and KSMs from domestic and international sources.
- Develop and manage vendor partnerships, MOUs, annual rate contracts, and long-term agreements (LTAs).
- Oversee vendor qualification in coordination with QA, ensuring compliance with GMP and global regulatory standards.
- Source intermediates from R&D quantities to commercial quantities, including DMF grade requirements, ensuring proper documentation and timely delivery.
- Ensure all sourcing and procurement activities adhere to GMP, GDP, FDA, EMA, ICH, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Corporate Leadership on business strategy, new projects, and capacity planning.
- Conduct comprehensive supply risk assessments considering geopolitical issues, market volatility, single-source dependencies, and regulatory disruptions.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or Supply Chain Management.
- 1520+ years of experience in procurement/supply chain within API or chemical manufacturing, with 35 years in a senior leadership role (AGM/GM level or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of global sourcing, vendor management, regulatory compliance, and API manufacturing technicalities.
- Proven experience in vendor development for domestic and international sources for API Raw Materials, Intermediates, and KSMs.
- Experience in sourcing intermediates from R&D to commercial quantities with documentation and managing longer transactional cycles for DMF grade materials.
