Role Overview
Lead and govern MechanicalOHP operations, ensuring safe, reliable and cost-effective functioning of ore handling, crushing, screening and conveyor systems in line with production and dispatch requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall MechanicalOHP strategy, asset management and performance governance
- Ensure high availability and reliability of crushers, conveyors, screens, feeders and stacker-reclaimers
- Monitor KPIs: plant availability, throughput, downtime, maintenance cost/tonne
- Ensure DGMS, Mines Act, OEM and safety compliance across OHP operations
- Manage OHP budgets, CAPEX, shutdowns, overhauls and modernization projects
- Drive cost optimization, energy efficiency and reliability improvement initiatives
- Lead and develop senior mechanical teams; standardize SOPs and best practices
- Manage OEMs, vendors and contractors including AMCs and warranties
- Oversee OHP expansion projects, commissioning and digital/predictive maintenance initiatives
- Review MIS and present performance updates to top management
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 1825+ years experience in mining or large bulk material handling plants
- Strong exposure to crusher & conveyor-based OHP systems
