Job Description

Role & Responsibilities: Industrial Relations & Employee Relations

  • Develop and implement IR strategies to maintain a harmonious and productive work environment.
  • Manage and close disciplinary cases, ensuring adherence to principles of natural justice and timely actions.
  • Liaise with government and local authorities (Labour Commissioner, Factory Inspector, Police, etc.) to ensure smooth company operations and peaceful industrial relations.
  • Handle labor disputes, strikes, lockouts, and unrest to prevent disruptions.
  • Maintain relations with neighboring industries through HR forums and networking.
  • Collaborate with legal advisors, investigators, and consultants for dispute resolution.
  • Monitor grievance mechanisms and proactively address employee concerns.
  • Manage wage and benefit settlements with union employees.
  • Issue employment-related documents: address proofs, experience certificates, salary certificates, food & gift coupons, identity cards, and vehicle passes.
  • Update employee details in SAP for income tax and compliance.
  • Ensure all statutory compliance related to labor laws, contractor management, wage certifications, and safety & welfare provisions for contract workers.
  • Oversee registration and renewal of licenses and compliance submissions under laws like Factory Act, Contract Labour Act, and others.
  • Handle legal matters, court cases, and finalize lease/rent agreements on behalf of the company.
  • Liaison with police, RTO, traffic police, labor department, and other government agencies.
  • Coordinate monthly contractor meetings to ensure statutory compliance.
  • Implement performance monitoring systems using SAP/HR tools.
