Job Purpose | Responsible for ensuring that the data privacy posture for Vi is maintained and monitored on a continuous basis through appropriate controls mechanisms and risks are mitigated to build a culture for data privacy. Maintain ISO 27701 certification and compliance posture along with overall compliance to DPDPA. |
Key Result Areas/Accountabilities | Data Privacy .Ensuring Safe Data Privacy Posture & DPDPA compliance for Vi. .Reviewing Data Privacy -Regulatory compliance of all VIL subsidiaries .Ensuring compliance with industry standards (DSCI, GAPP, ISO 27701), statutory, regulatory and legal security requirements (DOT, IT Act) and Privacy certifications. .Ensuring continuous governance of all data privacy audits across clusters and circles .Front ending Regulatory bodies for Privacy matters. .Reviewing and updating the Data Privacy policies, procedures, standards and processes for Vi. .Collaborating with HR and Ensuring Acceptance of DP policy by all Employees & New Joiners. .Drafting & ensuring Data Privacy obligations, in contracts, for 3rd party Vendor/Contractors & prospective Business Partners. .Governing of Vendors/Partners handling PI/SPI to ensuring and monitoring contractual obligation adherence. Reviewing, validating and supporting in closing audit responses for various assessments related to Privacy. .Reviewing policy framework for governance on a regular basis and ensuring that all awareness activities are monitored with management of feedback mechanisms .Timely reporting of all the security risk to management .Annual budget planning and forecasting .Ensuring Data Privacy compliance with group (Vodafone, ABG) requirements .Cultivating Innovations & Automation in processes, thereby minimizing TAT & error. .Carrying out Periodic activity of Data Discovery, Risk analysis and ensuring required security standards/solutions for Data - Rest and in Motion. |
Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience | .Experience in leading teams and strong experience in project management & communication .Solid Grasp of data protection and privacy including good understanding of the information security domains and their inter-relations with data protection .Designing and implementing framework for data privacy and security compliance requirements aligned to existing and new regulations .Subject matter expert for developing and implementing technology tools/controls for data protection and associated processes to comply with regulations .Engaging with technology and business stakeholders to ensure data privacy issues are considered at every stage of projects, services and third-party engagements .Strong domain expertise, implementation and/or integration skills in data classification, data discovery, information rights management, encryption, tokenization, data access governance and data masking technology solutions .Build a framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture .Analyze existing enterprise architecture to identify appropriate placement of data protection solutions/ products Privacy by design fundamentals |
Must have technical / professional qualifications | .7 to 10 years of experience in Cyber Security with a minimum of 3+ years in Data Privacy . BE/B.Tech in Computer or Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT or related field .Master's in in Cyber Security would be an added advantage .Certifications: ISO 27701-LA or LI/CIPM/CIPP/DCPLA/DCPP |
