Summary

Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates organizational and personal development and learning programs to meet business unit needs. Works independently to develop and manage large complex learning programs. Facilitates both on-site and virtual training classes. Performs learning management system (LMS) administration.

Your role in our mission

Essential Job Functions

  • Analyzes and determines development and learning needs of assigned segments of the organization and administers plans, procedures, and programs to meet training needs.
  • Serves as point-of-contact for employee development and learning programs to ensure that development needs are communicated.
  • Administers and manages logistical efforts around employee development and learning programs and projects. Creates the training environment and may maintain a training schedule.
  • Maintains learning and development data and metrics to track the progress of developmental objectives.
  • Facilitates on-site and virtual Agile/Scrum/Kanban training classes.
  • Certified to facilitate on-site and virtual Franklin Covey training classes (Trust & Inspire, Presentation Advantage, Multipliers, Navigating Difficult Conversations, Six Critical Practices for Leading a Team).
  • Configures and administers programs, courses and classes using Skillsoft's Percipio learning management system (LMS).
  • Partners with employee development managers to plan, define and develop the overall training strategy for the corporation. Interacts with business unit and other management to determine training needs and priorities and implements plans.
  • Oversees the design and development of training curriculum for both on-site and virtual programs. Determines when, how and where learning technologies should be used.
  • Conducts course pilots and provides train-the-trainer services. Reviews course evaluation analysis and results to determine effectiveness of training sessions with regard to course content and trainer. Resolves issues and/or implements revisions to course materials as necessary to improve training effectiveness.
  • Remains informed of and ensures employees maintain proficiency with available company resources to provide effective training programs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational development, education, human resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Nine or more years of training or employee development experience.
  • Experience working with human resources development and learning/training principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience working with communications practices, principles and procedures for both on-site and virtual presentations.
  • Experience working with instructional design and adult learning and training methodologies.
  • Experience working with LMS and performance management systems.
  • Experience in working with Agile/Scrum/Kanban principles and projects.
  • Experience using instructional design tools (i.e., Adobe Creative Cloud, Articulate 360, Camtasia Studio, Producer [SAP Enable Now], and Synthesia).
  • Proficient in the English language.
  • Ability to work second shift with business hours overlapping the U.S. business day through 12:00 Noon U.S. Central Time or later Monday - Friday.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with team members, trainees and all levels of employees.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong proficiency with PC and MS Office tools, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Ability to develop and maintain MS SharePoint intranet pages.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
