This Role Is Hands-on, Execution-first, And Outcome-driven. You Will
- Drive teams to meet sprint and project commitments.
- Analyze estimates versus actuals and raise justified flags when work is blocked or delayed.
- Motivate teams intelligently to maintain accountability.
- Enforce Agile processes to ensure predictable, high-quality results.
Responsibilities
Track A – Client-Facing Programs (Program-Level Ownership)
- Objective: Ensure client projects are predictable, on-time, and SLA-compliant.
- Own program-level execution for client engagements.
- Define milestones, timelines, and success metrics with leadership and client stakeholders.
- Track delivery against contractual scope and SLAs.
- Maintain RAID logs, identify dependencies, and escalate with evidence-backed justification.
- Validate estimates before each sprint or feature; proactively manage risks and over-commitment.
- Drive cross-team coordination and remove blockers.
- Provide factual, leadership-ready status reports on progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Lead by influence: ensure teams deliver because they respect accountability, not fear it.
How We Deliver (Client Programs)
- Weekly milestone reviews with gaps analyzed and addressed.
- Daily dependency tracking; escalate only when resolution is outside your control.
- Document estimates vs actuals, calling out variances with justification.
- Align offshore/onshore teams and motivate them for consistent progress.
Track B – Internal Projects (Scrum-Level Ownership)
- Objective: Ensure internal initiatives are unblocked, on schedule, and aligned with roadmap.
- Own 1–2 teams sprints from planning to Done.
- Maintain backlog integrity: prioritize, refine, and enforce Definition of Ready/Done.
- Track velocity, spillover, and defect trends; act decisively on slippage.
- Identify blockers before they stop progress, escalate with justification, and propose solutions.
- Coach team members on accountability and Agile process rigor.
- Deliver internal milestones on time: Poliqs, HRMS, AI initiatives don't stall on your watch.
How We Deliver (Internal Projects)
- Daily sprint metrics tracking and review.
- Backlog grooming with Product Owners to keep sprints execution-ready.
- Root-cause analysis for delays and execution of corrective actions.
- Team motivation and accountability: persistent follow-up until commitments are met.
Required Experience
- 3–6 years in Agile/Scrum roles with demonstrated execution ownership.
- Ability to analyze, estimate, and raise justified flags.
- Experienced in motivating teams and enforcing accountability.
- Comfortable tracking metrics, reporting facts, and escalating risks with rationale.
- Strong communicator capable of influencing teams to deliver consistently.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and dashboard reporting.
Preferred
- Scrum certification (CSM / PSM / SAFe).
- Exposure to BFSI, insurance, or enterprise products.
- Experience with distributed/offshore teams.
Non-Negotiables
- Ownership of outcomes: if delivery slips, resolution is your responsibility.
- Escalations must be data-backed, detailed, and solution-oriented.
- Agile processes exist to ensure results, not justify delays.
- Measured on execution, accountability, and outcome delivery, not hours or ceremonies.
