Position: Designer Aero Structures
Location: Bangalore
Educational Qualification
- BE / B.Tech with a minimum of 4 years of experience, or
- M.Tech with a minimum of 1 year of experience
- Experience must be in detailed design of aerospace structural parts
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed design and development of aerospace structural components.
- Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings in compliance with aerospace standards.
- Apply GD&T principles and conduct tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure manufacturability and assembly fit.
- Support assembly definition, interface management, and configuration control using PLM tools.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including stress, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Ensure design compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Technical Skills & Tools
- PLM Tool: Teamcenter 12.4
- CAD Tool: CATIA V5-6 R2016 with hands-on experience in:
- Part Design
- Sketcher
- Advanced Surface Modeling
- Drafting
- Functional Tolerancing & Annotation (FTA)
- Assembly Design
- Aerospace Sheet Metal Modeling using SL3
- Composite Part Design (CPD)
- Simulation Tools:
- Fitting Simulation (FIT)
- Kinematic Simulation (KIN)
Preferred Experience
- Experience in designing one or more of the following aircraft structures will be an advantage:
- Fuselage structures
- Main Landing Gear (MLG) components
- Doors
- Air intake ducts
Additional Skills
- Strong understanding of aerospace design best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
