Job Title: Advanced Specialist, HR Generalist



Description: In this role, You will provide comprehensive end-to-end HR support to a dynamic employee population, working closely with managers and local teams to drive a high-performance, highly engaged culture. This role aligns with industry titles such as Human Resource Business Partner, Senior HR Business Partner or Lead HR Generalist

As the HR Generalist, you will activate people and culture initiatives, support the execution of talent efforts, and serve as the on-the-ground connection for Global HRBPs across Pearson's diverse businesses. Your work will directly impact on employee experience, team effectiveness, and the successful delivery of HR programs.



You will:



  • Operate as a trusted advisor to managers, leaders and teams to create and sustain a culture of high performance and engagement, tailoring solutions to local needs.


  • Influence HR initiatives that improve employee experience and business outcomes


  • Build credibility through expertise, judgment, and delivery excellence


  • Activate and deliver people and culture initiatives, ensuring effective communication and participation across the site.


  • Support the execution of talent processes—including performance management, hiring plans, retention, and offboarding — by providing reliable, timely guidance and hands-on support.


  • Own and resolve complex people challenges with confidence and autonomy. Address complex employee cases and provide individualized support, balancing speed, accuracy, and compliance.


  • Serve as the local HR point of contact, partnering with Global HRBPs to ensure seamless delivery of HR programs and consistent employee experience.


  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the HR team.
