Honeywell Customer and Product Support have great opportunities available for an Advanced Field Service Engineer.

Responsibilities

In this position the Advanced FSE is responsible for providing expertise that supports the operation, diagnosis, and repair of the TPE331 engine. The Advanced FSE will provide technical support to our customers. The team member in this role must respond quickly, effectively, and professionally to all technical issues that arise and actively collaborate with the Customer Core Team (CCT) members to ensure that effective engineering support is provided in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities And Duties Include

  • Perform as the technical authority to our customer.
  • Represent the organization as a prime technical contact on technical issues associated with the program.
  • Demonstrat e in-depth technical knowledge of aircraft systems, aircraft interface, sub-system and platform applications.
  • Gather and Analyze Reliability Data on in-service Honeywell products to proactively develop corrective actions for negative trends.
  • Provide reliability data analysis for field events and internal test findings. Ensure all information contained within the component reliability reports is accurate and submitted to the appropriate parties.
  • Lead the In-Service Root Cause Investigations and manage Gate 1 activity for the In-service Review Board (IRB).
  • Manage Service-Related Difficulty Investigations and retrofit campaigns.
  • Manage and coordinate technical upgrade or modification programs and provide technical training as required.
  • Act as technical focal for customer liaison on any development projects for Honeywell Products and Systems.
  • Report Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigation findings to key stakeholders and coordinate a safety determination when appropriate.
  • Review technical reports and publications for accuracy.
  • Respond to and resolve complex internal and external technical inquiries and in-service troubleshooting requests.
  • Provide in-service support for technical programs and the distribution of information to our internal and external customers.
  • Provide training to technicians at the customer site and act as primary technical focal.
  • Attend as the Technical Representative in Program Management Review (PMR) meetings.
  • Monitor customer operations and analyze field data to assess product health to proactively address issues and ensure no adverse effect on customer relations and fleet capability.
  • Identify and share potential opportunities for product development and program management.
  • Identify and share growth opportunities with CCT.

Qualifications

Additional Responsibilities and Duties include:

  • Identify and champion inventive C&PS strategies and initiatives.
  • Use project management skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to recognize and initiate partnerships / alliances at a project level with management support.
  • Proficiency in blueprint and technical manual interpretation
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Participate / Lead C&PS cross functional strategy projects with multiple participants from various depts.
  • Act as a Role Model for Honeywell behaviors and values.
  • Lead / Audit technical meetings & process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of the Military / OEM Aerospace culture.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • We value specific training in Customer Service, Project / Program Management and Leadership.
  • Due to the nature of this discipline, on occasion, maybe required to work off-hours, on weekends, and/or holidays
  • Travel: up to 25%

Required Qualifications

  • Candidate must be familiar and have a general knowledge of turbine powered transport aircraft.
  • Candidate must be familiar and have a general knowledge of turbine engine operation, troubleshooting, inspection, root cause identification, engine repair and practical maintenance experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with customers and enterprise associates.
  • Strong understanding of Honeywell Products and Systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and teaming skills.
  • Strong technical background in Honeywell Repair and Overhaul operations.
  • Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings, Specifications and Technical Manuals.
  • Effective presentation skills for audiences of various sizes, cultures, and organization levels.
  • Ability to work effectively autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Strong PC skills.
