Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore

Our team includes data and analytics engineers, data scientists, and experienced leaders, bringing together a strong blend of skills. We partner closely with ASB (Auckland Savings Bank, NZ) to help deliver on key business objectives.

Impact &contribution:

Your role as Manager Analytics will be responsible for leading work streams and deliver insights and analytic solutions. Additionally, you will be required to collaborate with Operations and Technology stakeholders to leverage cross functional capability in the team to allow Operations and Technology to achieve its goals.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Lead a high performing team of analysts delivering meaningful insights (about customers, products, processes and channels) that are informed by data and analytics.
  • Work within a sometimes-ambiguous business environment and help foster a culture of curiosity and ingenuity to solve problems.
  • Manage the workflow plan and customer expectations for work delivery.
  • Assign responsibility for tasks and decisions. Sets clear objectives and measures.
  • Provide Challenging and stretching tasks and assignments.
  • Eliminate roadblocks and create focus.
  • Monitor process, progress and results including establishing feedback loops.
  • Assist others by reviewing their data analysis, probe to uncover what worked well and what additional data/insights could have assisted and providing coaching to ensure this is followed when they obtain data going forward.
  • Spend time and time of others on what's important and quickly zero in on the critical few and put the trivial aside.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider analytics team to provide collective insight for stakeholders.
  • Determine technical standards, tooling, policies and guardrails for my Chapter.
  • Work with other Chapter Leads and SMEs to innovate and optimise across teams.
  • Work Timings: 5.30am - 2.30pm (IST)

Essential skills:

  • 12+years of relevant experience in advanced SQL analytical skills.
  • Advanced experience with complex SQL projects, using MS SQL/Transact SQL.
  • Good verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced analytical skills, able to work with complex data to deliver meaningful, relevant, actionable insights.
  • Problem-solving skills, comfortable working in complex, challenging environments.
  • Strong written and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to groups.
  • Outcome orientated, persistence to challenge the status quo and deliver customer results.
  • Skills typically proven with 5 years or more of SQL based delivery experience.

Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
