Job Title: Admissions Counsellor

Job Overview:
The Admissions Counsellor at The Goa Jazz Academy will be responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, ensuring a smooth and informative experience. This role requires an individual with strong communication skills, a passion for music education, and the ability to engage with students and parents to help them make informed decisions about their musical journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Outreach & Engagement:
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Conduct information sessions and campus tours for prospective students and their families.
- Represent the academy at external events, workshops, and educational fairs.
- Admissions Process & Enrollment:
- Provide detailed guidance on program offerings, eligibility, and application procedures.
- Assist students in completing application forms and submitting necessary documentation.
- Track and follow up on applications to ensure timely completion of the admissions process.
- Collaborate with faculty to coordinate auditions and entrance assessments.
- Marketing & Promotions:
- Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and online content for admissions campaigns.
- Maintain the academy's admissions database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of student records.
- Assist in developing strategies to increase student enrollment and retention.
- Student Support & Onboarding:
- Help newly admitted students transition smoothly into the academy.
- Support students with scholarship and financial aid applications if applicable.
- Gather feedback from students to improve the admissions experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- Passion for music and familiarity with is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in student admissions, counselling, or sales is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages (Hindi/Konkani) is a plus.
Work Experience
At least 2 years of work experience as an admissions counsellor or a sales position
