Job Description: Academic Counselor / Senior Academic Counselor

Location: Mumbai

Working Days: 6 days a week

Daskalos (Emeritus) is hiring Academic Counselors and Senior Academic Counselors for a dynamic, performance-driven role. About the Role

In this role, you will support students and parents in exploring and enrolling in international university programs delivered at physical campuses in India. You will connect with prospective learners through calls and virtual meetings, guide them through the enrollment journey, and contribute meaningfully to their academic decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and convert a strong lead pipeline for multi-disciplinary international university programs.
  • Engage with prospective students and parents via phone calls, video consultations, emails, and virtual meetings.
  • Provide detailed and personalized program information based on student goals, profiles, and eligibility.
  • Ensure consistent follow-ups with interested leads to drive conversions and maintain a healthy pipeline.
  • Work in a high-volume calling environment (120+ calls per day) while maintaining quality engagement.
  • Accurately document interactions, follow-ups, and outcomes in the CRM system.
  • Meet and exceed individual targets related to student acquisition and revenue growth.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in academic counseling or inside sales (preferably in Education, Higher Ed, or University Admissions).
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with excellent interpersonal and listening ability.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed enrollment/sales targets.
  • Comfortable working with performance metrics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Salesforce CRM (or similar CRM platforms).
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and adaptable in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
