The Admission Counselor is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admission process, providing information about programs and services, and evaluating applications to ensure that the institution attracts qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Guide prospective students through the admission process and provide information on courses, fees, and scholarships.
- Conduct individual and group presentations to promote the institution and its programs.
- Evaluate applications and assess candidates qualifications for admission.
- Maintain accurate records of prospective students and their application statuses.
- Collaborate with academic departments to stay updated on course offerings and admission criteria.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract diverse candidates.
- Organize and participate in recruitment events, including college fairs and campus tours.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
- 2-6 years of experience in admissions, counseling, or higher education.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and admission management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse populations.
