Job Summary:
The Counselor will be responsible for counseling prospective students, understanding their career goals, and guiding them toward suitable IT courses. The role involves student engagement, admissions support, follow-ups, and coordination with internal teams to ensure a smooth enrollment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel walk-in, telephonic, and online inquiries regarding IT training programs.
- Understand student background, career objectives, and recommend appropriate courses.
- Explain course details, duration, fees, certifications, internships, and placement support clearly.
- Handle admission process including documentation, fee coordination, and enrollment confirmation.
- Conduct follow-up calls with prospective students and convert inquiries into admissions.
- Maintain accurate records of inquiries, follow-ups, and admissions in CRM or tracking sheets.
- Coordinate with trainers and academic teams for batch details and student onboarding.
- Achieve monthly admission and revenue targets assigned by management.
- Participate in promotional activities such as seminars, workshops, and education fairs.
- Address student queries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Ensure high levels of student satisfaction and trust.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong counseling, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand IT courses and explain them effectively to students.
- Target-oriented mindset with strong follow-up skills.
- Basic knowledge of computers, MS Excel.
- Professional attitude with problem-solving ability.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Experience in education counseling, training institutes, or EdTech sector is desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet enrollment targets.
