Job Title: Admission Counselor - Centre for Distance & Online Education

Job Summary
This hybrid role is designed for a versatile professional who can navigate the entire student journey within the Centre for Distance & Online Education (CDOE). You will be responsible for converting prospective leads into enrolled learners through expert counseling, managing the administrative execution of admissions, and providing post-enrollment support to ensure student success and retention.
Key Responsibilities
1. Admissions Counseling & Lead Conversion
- Helping Students/Candidates Choose: Talk to potential students through incoming and outgoing calls to understand their career goals and suggest the best online degree or certificate programs for them.
- Completing Applications Stay in touch with leads via phone, email, and chat to guide them through the process and turn their interest into a finished application.
- Knowing the Programs: Clearly explain the benefits of our industry-focused courses, which are created alongside top national and global universities.
- Meeting Targets: Work to meet and go beyond monthly and three-month enrollment goals for your assigned area.
2. Admission Executive & Operational Duties
- Documentation: Oversee the complete admission lifecycle, including document verification, eligibility checks, and fee collection.
- Compliance: Ensure all admission processes strictly adhere to UGC/ODL/CIQA regulatory guidelines and institutional policies.
- Database Management: Maintain a detailed and accurate database of all interactions and student records in the CRM or LMS.
- Process Coordination: Work with the academic and finance teams to ensure seamless student onboarding and batch creation.
3. Student Support & Retention
Student/Candidates Helpdesk: Be the main person students talk to when they have questions, providing quick answers and guidance from the start of their course to the end.
Keeping Students Motivated: Use different ways to encourage students to join classes, stay happy with their studies, and successfully finish their programs.
Solving Problems: Handle student complaints and offer academic advice with a kind and helpful attitude.
Collecting Feedback: Ask students for their opinions and look at their feedback to help the center make its online learning and services even better.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Graduate in any discipline (Minimum).
- Experience: 14 years of experience in Inside Sales, Admission Counseling, or Student Support, preferably within an EdTech or Distance Education environment.
- Communication: Excellent written and spoken English proficiency with a vibrant and approachable personality.
- Soft Skills: Strong sales bent of mind combined with the patience and empathy required for student counseling.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel/Word) and experience with CRM/LMS platforms.
