The Admission Counsellor will play a critical role in guiding prospective students and parents through the admission process, helping them choose the right programs, and converting inquiries into enrollments.
Role Overview
The Admission Counsellor will be responsible for handling student inquiries, counselling students and parents about career options in design, and driving enrollments for Creative Edge programs. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, sales orientation, and the ability to understand student aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
Counsel students and parents about design career opportunities and entrance exams such as UCEED, NID, NIFT, NATA, and CEED.
Provide detailed information about Creative Edge courses, pedagogy, results, and faculty.
Understand student requirements and recommend appropriate programs.
Handle incoming leads generated through digital campaigns, walk-ins, school seminars, and events.
Maintain systematic follow-ups with prospective students through calls, WhatsApp, emails, and meetings.
Convert inquiries into admissions through effective counselling.
Guide students and parents through the complete admission process including course selection, fee structure, and payment plans.
Ensure proper documentation and completion of admission formalities.
Coordinate with the operations and academic team for smooth onboarding of students.
Build strong relationships with prospective students and parents.
Maintain engagement with leads until conversion.
Address queries related to courses, schedules, exams, and career opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of leads and counselling interactions in the CRM system.
Track lead progress, follow-up schedules, and conversion status.
Generate reports related to inquiries, conversions, and revenue targets.
Manage walk-in students at the Andheri West center.
Conduct centre tours and provide information about facilities and programs.
Support centre events like portfolio reviews, open houses, and counselling sessions.
Achieve monthly and quarterly admission targets.
Contribute to overall center revenue goals.
Continuously work on improving conversion ratios.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong communication and persuasion skills
Ability to build rapport with students and parents
Basic understanding of design entrance exams and creative career paths (training will be provided)
Sales and target orientation
Strong follow-up and relationship management skills
Comfort with CRM tools and lead management systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced EdTech environment
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any discipline
Degrees in Design, Marketing, Psychology, or Education are an advantage
Preferred Experience
14 years of experience in:
Admission counselling
Academic counselling
EdTech sales
Education consulting
Experience with design education institutes or coaching centers will be an added advantage.
