About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage customer invoicing, payments, and account aging. This is a long-term, ongoing contract role supporting our finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate has strong experience working with aging reports, collections follow-up, and maintaining accurate receivables records. You must be able to work reliably during U.S. business hours and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment posting, and reconciliation.
- Monitor and analyze accounts aging to ensure timely collections and identify delinquent accounts.
- Conduct proactive outreach to customers regarding overdue invoices, payment status, and billing discrepancies.
- Prepare weekly and monthly aging reports and provide insights on AR trends.
- Resolve customer billing issues by coordinating with sales, customer service, and other internal teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date AR records in accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
- Assist in month-end closing processes, including AR reconciliations and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and accounting standards.
- Support process improvements to streamline AR workflows.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar finance/accounting role.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing account aging, collections follow-up, and AR reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, SAP, or equivalent).
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formatting, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and internal teams.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple accounts.
- Must be available to work U.S. business hours consistently.
