Job Description

Role Summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to support India AP operations and global AP activities. This role will manage end-to-end AP processes, including invoice processing, vendor management, compliance, payments, reconciliations, and month-end close support. Experience in a multinational or U.S. public company environment with SOX exposure is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Operations

  • Process, review, code, and account vendor invoices accurately and timely.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, master records, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare vendor payments and employee reimbursements.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts, open invoices, advances, and payment activity.
  • Resolve vendor inquiries and perform account reconciliations.
  • Ensure invoices are supported by valid POs, contracts, approvals, and documentation.
  • Partner with procurement, business teams, and global accounting stakeholders.

India Tax & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS/withholding tax, MSME requirements, and vendor tax regulations.
  • Validate invoices for GST details, tax rates, GSTIN, PAN, and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate GST/TDS reconciliations, audits, and compliance reporting.
  • Maintain documentation for statutory, internal audit, and SOX requirements.

Month-End Close & Reporting

  • Support AP month-end close activities, including accruals, prepaids, and allocations.
  • Prepare AP reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with internal, statutory, and external audit requests.

Required Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in IT/ITES or multinational environments.
  • Strong AP experience, including ownership of India AP processes.
  • Knowledge of GST, TDS, withholding tax, and vendor compliance requirements.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar.
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
  • Experience supporting global accounting operations.
  • Exposure to SOX controls, audits, and internal controls.
  • Experience with PO matching, vendor master controls, and AP process improvements.
