Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on, process-driven finance professional to own Accounts Payable, month-end close, treasury operations, and statutory compliance tracking for Keka. You will be expected to bring structure, automation, and accountability to every area you touch, and be directly responsible for measurable outcomes across each function.

Key Responsibilities & Ownership Metrics

  • Manage the end-to-end AP function invoice receipt, validation, approvals, accounting, and payment processing for all 3 legal entities
  • Ensure all invoices are paid within agreed payment terms and as per PO/agreement terms
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities across the AP workflow from invoice ingestion to payment triggers to reduce manual touchpoints and error rates
  • Manage payment runs (NEFT/RTGS/cheque) with appropriate maker-checker controls and ensure payment files are reconciled to bank statements without exception
  • Own the AP email/helpdesk queue and ensure vendor queries on invoice status and payment are resolved within defined TATs
  • Track and process employee expense reimbursements and advance settlements in line with the company's expense policy
  • Ensure correct TDS deduction at source on all vendor payments across applicable sections and timely deposit to the government
  • Validate GST treatment on vendor invoices correct tax codes, HSN/SAC, GSTIN validation, and ITC eligibility before processing payment
  • Liaise with the tax team to resolve vendor invoice disputes related to GST/TDS and ensure the ITC reflected in GSTR-2B is reconciled to the books monthly
  • Drive the monthly close process within defined timelines, ensuring all entries are complete, accurate, and well-documented
  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) monthly, including additions, disposals, depreciation runs, and reconciliation to the GL
  • Prepare month end closing reports and MIS reports for leadership review at each month-end
  • Design and enforce AP SOPs covering the full invoice-to-pay cycle, including escalation matrices, approval hierarchies, and exception handling procedures
  • Support internal and statutory audits by providing AP schedules, reconciliations, ledger details, and supporting documentation within stipulated timelines
  • Coordinate with banking partners for payment processing, bank mandate management, and resolution of payment failures or returns

What We're Looking For

  • Qualification: CA or CA Inter or MBA Finance with 56 years of experience in a finance/accounts role, preferably in a SaaS, tech.
  • Strong command of end-to-end AP operations, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliation with hands-on experience with accounting software (ERP platforms like Dynamics 365/Netsuite); advanced Excel is non-negotiable
  • Solid understanding of Indian statutory compliances TDS, GST, PF, PT, and related filings
  • Experience managing treasury operations and FD tracking in a multi-bank environment
  • Extremely high attention to detail you're uncomfortable closing a month with open reconciling items
  • Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with vendors, internal stakeholders, banking partners, and auditors
