About the Role
The Senior Executive to Senior Manager will oversee financial reporting, strategic planning, internal controls, team management, cash flow management, and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Accounting:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Oversee the overall accounting operations including vendor bills, employee claims and reimbursements, sales invoices, payroll and other statutory returns.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Strategic Planning:
- Providing financial analysis to support long-term strategic planning.
- Provide cost control measures and identify potential avenues of cost reduction.
- Optimum utilization of resources and identify/explore new streams/sources of revenue.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Ensure robust internal controls are in place and operational.
- Oversee compliance with financial regulations and organization policies.
- Liaise and coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors and tax advisors and tax authorities.
Team Management:
- Lead and develop the finance team members, providing coaching and mentoring.
- Allocate tasks and responsibilities within the finance department.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage the organization's cash flow ensuring liquidity and financial stability.
- Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships and debt management.
- Optimize working capital and cash management strategies.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial objectives with business goals.
- Present financial results and strategies to senior management.
- Increase overall satisfaction of faculty and staff, students and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CA Inter or ICWA Inter.
Required Experience:
- Senior Executive: Minimum 4 years.
- Deputy Manager: Minimum 8 years.
- Manager/ Senior Manager: Minimum of 12-14 years of experience in finance and accounts, with at least 5-7 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in financial planning, analysis and reporting.
- Experience in managing a team of finance members.
- Good knowledge in MS Excel & Dashboard preparation.
