Overview:
The Accounts Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects of the organization's operations at SIPCOT Irungattukottai. This role encompasses managing the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and implementing effective financial strategies to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the accounting team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Oversee and contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Manage and monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations
- Assist in financial planning and decision-making processes
- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify variances and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives
- Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
- Manage relationships with financial institutions and external stakeholders
- Lead ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance
- Advance the use of accounting software and technology to enhance efficiency
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance role
- Demonstrated experience in financial management and analysis
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
