Orion Group of Hotels is a growing hospitality group with multiple properties, focused on delivering a consistent, highquality guest experience and strong financial performance. The Accounts Head will play a key role in building a robust finance function across the hotels.
Role Overview
The Accounts Head will be responsible for endtoend finance and accounts for Orion Group of Hotels, including daytoday accounting, MIS, budgeting, statutory compliance and internal controls. This role will work closely with the management team and property GMs to ensure accurate reporting and financial discipline across all units.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee complete accounting operations for all hotels (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, payroll coordination, expense tracking).
- Prepare and review monthly MIS, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements for each property and at group level.
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting; track actual vs budget and highlight variances with actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC (as applicable), audits and other regulatory filings.
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors, ensure proper documentation, schedules and closure of audit observations.
- Implement and monitor strong internal controls over cash, inventory, purchasing, credit, discounts and revenue recognition.
- Work with property teams to standardise accounting processes, formats and timelines across all hotels.
- Support management in financial analysis for new projects, capex, vendor negotiations and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Manage and mentor the accounts team; allocate work, review outputs and build capabilities within the finance function.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce or Finance B.Com / M.Com / CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in hotel / hospitality finance & accounts preferred; candidates with multiunit or F&B background will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, taxation and compliance in India.
- Handson experience with accounting/ERP software and advanced Excel.
- Ability to work with multiple properties, tight timelines and a growing organisation.
