Job Description

Position: Accounts Executive

Department: Accounts & Finance

Institution: AIMS Institutes, Bengaluru

Reporting To: Accounts Manager / Finance Head

Job Summary

AIMS Institutes is seeking a competent and experienced Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records in compliance with statutory and institutional requirements. The role requires hands-on expertise in Tally, strong accounting knowledge, and the ability to independently handle routine finance functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day accounting entries using Tally ERP
  • Prepare and verify vouchers, bills, invoices, and receipts
  • Maintain books of accounts, ledgers, and sub-ledgers
  • Perform bank reconciliation statements (BRS) and cash book maintenance
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts
  • Prepare MIS reports and support financial analysis
  • Handle GST-related entries, returns, and basic compliance
  • Coordinate with internal departments for financial documentation and approvals
  • Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance activities
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation (physical and digital) of financial records
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Accounts Manager / Finance Head

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification
  • 24 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance (preferably in an educational institution)
  • Strong working knowledge of Accounting Principles
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP (mandatory)
  • Good understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliances
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office
