Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Accounts and Payroll Specialist with 2 to 5 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting, with working knowledge of Canadian accounting practices and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations for Canadian clients, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for Canadian clients
  • Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations on a regular basis
  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) – process vendor invoices,reconcile accounts, and schedule payments
  • Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) – generate invoices, apply receipts, and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Prepare year-end financial statements and working papers in accordance with IFRS
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper classifications
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
  • Ensure compliance with Indian tax regulations(e.g.,GST/HST, payroll remittances where applicable)
  • Coordinate with Canadian accountants and auditorsfor documentation and reporting
  • Communicate directly with Canadian clientsregarding financial queries and support

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Strong understanding of Canadian accounting practices and IFRS
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets
  • Excellent organizational and time managementskills
  • Strong communication skills (spoken and written English)
  • Ability to work acrosstime zones and coordinate with international clients
