Job Title: Assistant Manager - - General Ledger (US GAAP)
Responsibilities:
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes efficiently.
- Assist in preparing comprehensive reports for stakeholders and auditors.
- Monitor general ledger accounts closely and correct any errors identified.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls (SOX) and actively work on improving process efficiency.
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations and promptly address any discrepancies.
- Stay current on US GAAP standards to ensure compliance in financial reporting.
- Accurately reconcile intercompany accounts.
- Manage the opening and closing of ledgers during financial closing periods.
- Perform currency revaluations as required.
- Analyze financial statements to identify trends, variances, and implications.
- Prepare journal entries on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in accordance with accounting policies.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant/ CA Inter, Finance
- 4-7 years of accounting experience with progressive responsibilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding and application of US GAAP in financial reporting.
- Proven ability to perform complex reconciliations and conduct detailed financial analysis.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple assignments concurrently.
- Experience with auditing processes and familiarity with internal control frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in improving process efficiencies and solving intricate problems.
- Experience on USGAAP financials / Cash flow preparation will be an added advantage.
