About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Manager to join our dynamic team at TalBalad. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within the D2C, e-commerce, retail, fashion, or consumer brand sectors. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage daily accounting operations, ensure statutory compliance, and maintain accurate financial records. The Accounts Manager will serve as a key point of contact for internal teams and external partners, including auditors, legal advisors, and payroll agencies, ensuring seamless financial processes and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a B.Com, M.Com, CA Inter, or an equivalent qualification. Prior experience working with D2C or e-commerce businesses is highly preferred. Proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel is essential, along with a strong understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements. Experience with payment gateways, Shopify, and marketplace reconciliations will be considered a significant advantage. The candidate must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities

The Accounts Manager will be responsible for a broad range of financial and accounting tasks, including:

• Managing day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and maintenance of financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Handling bank reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring timely resolution.
• Reconciling transactions from payment gateways, Shopify, marketplaces, COD partners, and other sales channels.
• Monitoring accounts receivable and payable, coordinating collections, and ensuring timely payments.
• Maintaining vendor ledgers, conducting regular vendor reconciliations, and managing vendor relationships.
• Ensuring proper recording of sales, purchases, expenses, credit and debit notes, and refunds.
• Coordinating statutory compliance activities related to GST, TDS, and other legal requirements.
• Collaborating with external CA, auditors, legal advisors, payroll agencies, and compliance partners, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Supporting monthly payroll processing, including deductions and accounting entries.
• Assisting in monthly and annual financial closing, audits, and MIS preparation.
• Maintaining organized documentation of invoices, contracts, payment records, and statutory filings.
• Identifying and reporting reconciliation gaps, overdue receivables, unusual expenses, or discrepancies to management for prompt action.
