Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Accountant role located in Kolkata. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Other tasks include monitoring budgets, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits. The role requires a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and accounting software
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, compliance, and auditing standards
- Skills in budget planning, account reconciliation, and financial data analysis
- Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or equivalent are a strong advantage
- Previous experience in logistics or shipping industries is a plus
