Accountant

Bengal Energy Limited (BEL) operates a manufacturing unit located near Kharagpur, West Bengal, spread across 400 acres of land. Strategically situated by the Howrah-Chennai railway track and NH 60, it ensures seamless logistics for the import of raw materials and the supply of products to customers. BEL specializes in the production and trading of minerals and commodities, with a focus on high-quality coke, used primarily in blast furnaces for iron reduction. The facility benefits from proximity to key customers and ports, making it a vital player in the region's manufacturing sector.

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant at Bengal Energy Limited, located in Kharagpur. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements and reports, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Daily tasks will include bookkeeping, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, handling payroll, and providing financial analysis to support management decisions. The role involves working closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial record management, and general accounting principles
• Proficiency in preparing financial statements, financial reports, and budgeting
• Experience with account reconciliation, invoice processing, and payroll management
• Familiarity with accounting software and information systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus
