Accountant

Position Overview:

As an Assistant Accountant at My Storage Space, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and managing various financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping:

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards in ZoHo Books
• Manage the general ledger and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.

Vendor Payments:

• Process and oversee timely and accurate vendor payments.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and address any payment-related inquiries.

Tax Compliance:

• Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations- GST, TDS & Income Tax
• Stay informed about changes in tax regulations and update internal processes accordingly.

RoC (Registrar of Companies) Compliance:

• Ensure timely filing of necessary documents with the RoC.
• Stay abreast of changes in RoC regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

Financial Reporting:

• Generate financial reports for management review, providing insights and recommendations as necessary.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Audit Support:

• Coordinate and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with auditors to address any queries or concerns.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct periodic financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with other departments to gather financial information for analysis.

Accounts Receivables:

• Track & send payment reminders to clients on time
• Recover outstanding dues from defaulters and take necessary measures
