Role Description The Accountant role at Kataria Green – Ather is a full-time, on-site position based in Surat. The accountant is responsible for managing daily financial transactions, including invoicing, billing, and recording sales and expenses related to scooter sales, services, and accessories. Typical tasks include maintaining ledgers, reconciling bank and cash accounts, preparing GST and other statutory records, and supporting monthly and annual closing activities. The role also involves preparing regular financial reports for management, monitoring outstanding receivables and payables, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards. The accountant collaborates with the sales and operations teams to verify documentation, support audits, and maintain accurate financial data in dealership systems.
Qualifications

• Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliation of bank, cash, and vendor accounts.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP tools (e.g., Tally, dealership management systems) and good spreadsheet skills (Excel).
• Knowledge of Indian taxation and compliance, including GST, TDS, and statutory reporting relevant to automotive retail.
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and basic budgets to support decision-making.
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong organizational skills for handling multiple transactions and deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with sales, service, and management teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA Inter or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in retail, dealership, or automotive accounting is preferred, especially in a fast-paced customer-facing environment.
