Job Description

Job title- Senior Accounts and Payroll Executive

Location- Faridabad

Work mode- In office (6 days)

Experience required- 2 to 6 years

Role summary

We are looking for a hands on accounts and payroll professional who will own day to day bookkeeping in Zoho Books, ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, raise invoices without delays, and drive payment follow ups with clients. This is an execution heavy role that requires strong process discipline, attention to detail, and clear coordination with internal teams and external clients.

Key responsibilities

Zoho Books ownership

  • Maintain books of accounts in Zoho Books with daily hygiene
  • Record sales invoices, client receipts, vendor bills, and expenses
  • Maintain chart of accounts, customer vendor masters, and tax configurations
  • Perform bank and ledger reconciliations regularly
  • Support month end closing and basic MIS reporting

Invoicing and receivables

  • Raise client invoices as per PO milestones retainers and approvals
  • Share invoices with clients and confirm receipt
  • Maintain ageing reports and weekly collections tracker
  • Follow up with clients for pending payments with a structured cadence
  • Coordinate internally to resolve disputes such as PO mismatch scope clarifications credit notes and revised invoices

Payroll processing

  • Coordinate monthly inputs such as attendance leaves incentives deductions and reimbursements
  • Process payroll accurately and on time
  • Generate payslips and maintain payroll records
  • Support full and final settlements and employee query resolution
  • Coordinate with external CA consultant for statutory filings as applicable

Payables support

  • Track vendor bills due dates and payment schedules
  • Coordinate approvals and release of payments as per internal process
  • Maintain supporting documentation for audits and compliance

Required skills and qualifications

-Strong working knowledge of Zoho Books is required

-Good understanding of bookkeeping principles and bank reconciliation

-Payroll processing experience for a multi employee team

-Strong follow up and stakeholder management skills

-Advanced Excel or Google Sheets comfort

-Clear written communication for client follow ups

-Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data

Preferred

-Experience in a services business such as agency IT services consulting or retainer based work

-Exposure to Zoho Payroll Zoho People is a plus

-Coordination experience with GST TDS PT PF ESIC compliance through a CA or consultant

-Performance expectations for first 60 days

-Zoho Books fully updated with clean ledgers and reconciliations

-Invoice cycle time reduced and no missed billing

-Collections tracker running with weekly review

-Payroll processed with zero delays and minimal corrections
