[Indigo Tradecom Pvt, a leading Export / import trading company dealing in agri based commodities, is seeking an experienced and skilled Accountant to join our team in Kolkata.
Job Summary:
We're looking for a seasoned Accountant with expertise in import-export accounting to manage our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain accurate financial records and statements
Prepare and review balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports
Ensure compliance with GST, and Customs regulations
Analyze and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Provide expert guidance on import-export accounting, including customs duty, and GST and Banking Regulations
Collaborate with auditors for smooth audit processes
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in import-export industry
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Commerce or Accounting
In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, and customs regulations
Proficient in accounting software (Tally, SAP, etc.)
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment
