About The Role

We are seeking a tech-savvy Accountant to manage India accounting operations and payroll. The role focuses on execution, compliance, and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Accounting:

  • Accounting & Compliance
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities including bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with Indian statutory requirements (GST, TDS, etc.)
  • Handle vendor payments, invoicing, and expense tracking
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

Payroll Management

  • Process end-to-end payroll for India employees
  • Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, PT, and other statutory payroll regulations
  • Manage payroll records, payslips, and filings
  • Coordinate with HR for payroll inputs and employee queries

Technology & Automation

  • Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, or similar
  • Work with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and payroll platforms (e.g., Rippling or equivalent)
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities

Reporting & Coordination

  • Support internal reporting requirements as needed
  • Assist during audits by providing required data and documentation
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter / MBA preferred)
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in accounting and payroll (India)
  • Strong understanding of Indian taxation and compliance (GST, TDS, PF, ESI)
  • Hands-on experience with accounting and payroll software
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets
  • Strong attention to detail and execution-focused mindset
