We are a thriving interior design studio based in HSR Layout, managing multiple creative projects simultaneously from residential homes to commercial offices. As we scale, we need a meticulous and reliable Accountant to manage the financial backbone of our studio. If you are organized, good with numbers, and looking for a stable, long-term role in a creative environment, we would love to meet you.
We are looking for an Accountant with minimum 3 to 6 months of practical experience (internship or junior role) to handle the day-to-day financial operations of the studio. You will work directly with the management to ensure our finances are accurate, our vendors are paid on time, and our books are always audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Office & Project Expenses: Track and record all daily expenses related to the office and ongoing interior design projects (material purchases, site labor, transportation, etc.).
- Payroll Management: Process monthly payroll for studio staff and coordinate with them regarding salary disbursements.
- Vendor & Contractor Payments: Manage payments to vendors, suppliers, and freelance contractors. Maintain strong relationships with vendors regarding payment cycles.
- Billing & Invoicing: Generate accurate invoices for clients based on project milestones. Follow up on outstanding payments.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain daily books of accounts using Tally/Excel. Ensure all transactions are categorized correctly (project-wise costing is essential).
- GST Compliance: Handle GST filing and returns. Must be aware of the basics of GST applicable to services (interior design/consulting).
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure records match bank statements.
- Petty Cash Management: Maintain and audit the studio's petty cash system.
