Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in finance or treasury, working on cross-functional initiatives.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, SQL and in spreadsheet software with the knowledge of accounting principles.
- Ability to handle workload, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and a high degree of attention to detail and a commitment to continuous process improvement.
- Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.
- Ability to assist with well-defined tasks within a project, manage time, and follow work plans.
- Excellent investigative skills with the ability to communicate with executive management.

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards, regulatory requirements and tax regulations, including management of the external audit and tax compliance for a portfolio of Google entities in India.
- Represent Accounting and Finance with our business partners through effective communication with in-country business managers, Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit and Financial Planning.
- Prepare and present financial information to different audiences, including finance leaders, business partners, auditors and regional accountants.
- Articulate risks of your area to management and make recommendations for improvement.
- Perform regular in-depth analysis on the financials, ensuring the integrity and financial accuracy of local books and records.
