We've built one of India's fastest-growing consumer products, and now we're looking for someone to build and own our finance function from the ground up.
This isn't a traditional accounting role—it's a founding finance role where you'll work directly with the founders and own everything from daily bookkeeping to strategic financial reporting.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Founding Accountant who thrives in a high-growth startup environment and is excited to build systems from scratch.
You'll own the complete finance and compliance function while helping founders make smarter business decisions through accurate reporting and financial insights.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping- Own day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations
- Maintain accurate books of accounts
- Perform bank, payment gateway, and vendor reconciliations
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing
Payroll & Compliance- Manage monthly payroll processing
- Handle salary disbursements
- Manage PF, ESIC, Professional Tax and Labour Law compliances
- Process TDS deductions and statutory payments
- Handle freelancer and consultant payments along with applicable TDS
- Ensure timely GST, TDS, ROC and other statutory filings
- Maintain complete compliance calendar and ensure zero delays
Financial Reporting & MIS- Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial Statements
- Build founder-level MIS and management dashboards
- Track:
- Revenue
- Collections
- Expenses
- Burn Rate
- Cash Flow
- Profitability
- Prepare Budget vs Actual reports
- Identify key business and financial insights
Financial Planning- Work directly with founders on:
- Budgeting
- Financial planning
- Forecasting
- Business planning
- Support fundraising, due diligence and strategic finance projects whenever required
Treasury & Cash Flow- Monitor daily cash position
- Manage banking relationships
- Track working capital requirements
- Support cash forecasting and liquidity planning
Audits & Compliance- Coordinate:
- Statutory Audit
- Internal Audit
- Tax Audit
- Liaise with:
- Auditors
- Company Secretary
- Tax Consultants
- Banks
- Government Authorities
Process & Automation- Build scalable finance processes
- Improve internal controls
- Automate repetitive finance workflows wherever possible
- Bring operational excellence into the finance function
What We're Looking For
Must Have- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 2–5 years of post-qualification experience
- Strong understanding of:
- Accounting
- Financial Reporting
- GST
- TDS
- Payroll
- PF & ESIC
- ROC & Statutory Compliance
- Experience preparing founder-level MIS and financial reports
- Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills
Bonus Points- Startup or high-growth company experience
- Experience with fundraising support or investor reporting
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, Tally or similar platforms
- Experience working with consumer internet, SaaS or AI startups
