Key responsibilities
Client and account ownership
- Own and manage end-to-end client communication and relationship building
- Understand client business, brand, tone, and objectives
- Think beyond individual deliverablesfocus on the overall purpose of each publication
- Anticipate client needs and proactively recommend content ideas, design solutions, and upsell/cross-sell avenues
- Deliver presentations, reviews, and recommendations with clarity and confidence
Project management and delivery
- Handle 2-4 print/publication projects at a time
- Scope projects accurately with timelines, effort estimates, and deliverable structures
- Coordinate with internal teamswriters, editors, designers, proofreaders, and production teams
- Maintain all project documentation, tracking sheets, and status reports
- Ensure on-time, error-free, high-quality delivery with client delight
- Conduct rigorous QC checks before sending anything to the client (copy accuracy, design alignment, layout consistency, grammar, brand guidelines, etc.)
Editorial, design and digital skills
- Create and share clear briefs for content, design, and layout
- Make basic corrections and layout adjustments in InDesign
- Have working-level familiarity with CMS editing (for publication microsites, PDF hosting pages, etc.)
- Create first-draft copy using AI tools where needed (articles, captions, headlines, intros, etc.)
- Use AI tools for content generation, design assistance, and presentation creation
- Understand SEO basics for publication content that may go on digital platforms
- Be aware of global communication, editorial, and design trends
Required Skills And Competencies
- 36+ years of experience managing print/publication/editorial projects
- Solid understanding of the print process (layouting, proofing, colour correction, prepress, production)
- Working-level knowledge of Adobe InDesign for minor edits and corrections
- Strong command over written and verbal communication
- Excellent multitasking, organisation, and deadline management
- Ability to translate client inputs into actionable, detailed briefs
- Proficiency in creating and presenting decks (PPT/Keynote)
- Analytical thinkingability to review reports, project performance, and effort tracking
- High attention to detail and quality
