Role Overview:
We are looking for a high-performing Account Executive to drive revenue growth in the US B2B market, with a strong focus on account expansion and retention (70%) while continuing to hunt new business opportunities (30%).
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in consultative sales, understands complex financial products, and can build long-term relationships with decision-makers across Banking, Fintech, and BFSI organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management & Expansion (70% Farming)
- Own and grow a portfolio of existing mid-market and enterprise accounts in the US.
- Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities across products, features, and use cases.
- Build strong relationships with C-level executives, VPs, Directors, and key stakeholders.
- Conduct regular QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews) to demonstrate value and ROI.
- Identify expansion signals based on usage, business growth, and customer needs.
- Partner closely with Customer Success, Product, and Support teams to ensure high retention and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline updates, and account plans in CRM.
New Business Development (30% Hunting)
- Identify, qualify, and close new logo opportunities within target ICPs.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting discovery demo negotiation close.
- Leverage inbound leads, referrals, and selective outbound efforts.
- Represent the company in sales calls, demos, and virtual meetings with US prospects.
- Stay informed about competitors, market trends, and regulatory environments in BFSI.
Required Qualifications
- 37 years of B2B sales experience in Fintech, Banking, BFSI, or SaaS.
- Proven experience selling to the US market.
- Strong background in account management, renewals, and expansion revenue.
- Experience handling complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of financial services, payments, lending, compliance, or banking tech.
- Comfortable working in US time zones.
- Proficient with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent).
Nice to Have
- Experience selling to banks, NBFCs, credit unions, fintechs, or financial enterprises.
- Familiarity with compliance, KYC, AML, payments, lending, or core banking systems.
- Exposure to AI-driven products or automation tools.
- Prior experience with quota-carrying roles and consistent overachievement.
