It was a Thursday morning. A lead had gone cold for 10 days. B2B Sales, so it does happen.
First thing Kriti did was think about why the customer was not reverting. It could mean our value prop is not good enough, or his priorities have changed, or some personal emergency, or he is finding it difficult to sell it internally.
Kriti landed in the customer's office. Not getting a meeting is a crime in our book. She took him out for a coffee and had an honest discussion about his challenges. She tried a few stories, he got comfortable, and she understood that our value prop was good enough but his management was not convinced.
Of course, it is not our champion's responsibility to sell us internally. It is ours.
Having understood the problem, Kriti quickly built a one-page document educating senior management on what we are all about. All questions got answers. Given her experience, she predicted the management questions well and proactively answered those. She also put in a few leading open-ended points which she knew management would ask about. Our champion had answers to those.
This is how she got all stakeholders aligned.
This is sales. Not just sending checking in emails. Understand the problem and be creative about solving it. Of course we won. This is an everyday scenario at Nuclei. We think deeply. Daily. And Solve. Thus, we love sales.
Such successes make us more ambitious. Why just be the biggest business in India Why not globally So we are a global, bootstrapped, profitable company working with the largest conglomerates. We have offices in India, Europe and the Middle East.
We need one more Kriti.
But let me be honest.
We are not a typical sales team. We want to be differentiated. Else AI will do the job. We think about storytelling, emotions, educating buyers, highlighting risks, and most importantly making the individual win. I haven't said anything new. But we put it in practice.
See, we work remotely. It is easy to slack. But then it is not a great discussion. We need you to be reliable, trustworthy, and proactive without supervision. That is hard. We know it. That's why we are not for everyone. We mean it.
I know you will find a great role out there. We will find a great candidate too.
