Job Description – Account Executive (BFSI Practice)

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Account Executive to support communication mandates for BFSI and fintech clients. The role involves media relations, content development, client servicing, industry tracking and execution of strategic PR campaigns for financial sector brands.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of the banking, financial services and fintech ecosystem along with excellent communication and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day servicing of BFSI and fintech accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, financial media and industry stakeholders
• Draft press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, reports and client communication material
• Track sector developments, market trends and competitor activity across banking, fintech and financial services industries
• Coordinate media interactions, interviews, press conferences and leadership profiling opportunities
• Assist in planning and execution of integrated PR and communication campaigns
• Monitor media coverage and prepare coverage reports and analysis
• Ensure timely execution of deliverables while maintaining high-quality communication standards
• Collaborate with internal teams for digital, research and strategic communication requirements

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 1–3 years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications or Media
• Prior exposure to BFSI, fintech, banking or financial clients preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good understanding of business and financial news landscape
• Ability to work in a fast-paced agency environment
• Strong networking, coordination and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office and media monitoring/reporting tools

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mass Media, Journalism, Communications, Commerce, Management or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in PR/Corporate Communications is an advantage
