Work Integrated Program in Computer Science Engineering, offered across 17+ partner Universities in India.
As Academic mentor, you will be responsible for the learning journey and the industry alignment of undergraduate students, undertaking this 4-yr program.
In Your Pursuit Of Making An Impact To The Way Computer Science Engineering Programs Are Delivered And The Outcomes And The Experience That Our Students Experience, You Will Be Equipped With:
A robust industry aligned curriculum, with a world-class experiential learning-based pedagogy,
L&D Pre-joining And Continuous Learning On:
- Mentor essentials communication and delivery;
- Functional Programming, full-stack development and associated industry oriented CSc skills and
- Academic / Industry process basics.
Key Responsibilities
Handle a combination of live-sessions and a-sync mentorship sessions (all physically on campus) to the cohort of students, based on Kalvium s mentorship framework.
You will own student learning outcomes and learning experiences taking a hands-on practical approach to handling technical courses and projects.
Guide / mentor and provide timely feedback to students (1-1 and in group) to ensure student technical and professional growth.
Evaluate / review student assignments / assessments and provide feedback.
Engage with students, helping them with problem solving / coding skills development / live projects / coding competitions / hackathons.
Coordinate industry linkage sessions for the students on campus (tech talks / interview preparations / internship learning oversight).
Ensure professionalism of students (as per the framework laid out by Kalvium).
Location
Work from Campus Role.
Kalvium programs operate in 17+ Campuses across 7 States. Academic mentors can choose the State preference in the registration form. Deployment will be in a campus in the preferred State.
Work Timings: 6-days a week, 9 am to 6.30 pm
Qualification
Master's degree M.E / M. Tech in Computer Science and related branches.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Technical Requirements: Basic algorithmic coding knowledge in any one of the programming languages Python, C, C++, Java script.

The Academic Mentor Development Internship: Duration 5(3+1+1) Months
Online Mentor Development Program: Duration 3 Months
Location: Online
Program Construct:
Structured online program - 6 hrs. a day, 72 days
Covers areas of mentor essentials, technical skills and academic processes
Daily progress tracking and weekly demos.
What You Get:
Program curated by seasoned industry professionals with experience in companies like
Google, SAP Labs, etc. - Free.
Certification both on Mentor Essentials and Full Stack Development basics.
In-person Mentor Development Bootcamp: Duration 1 Month
Location: In a common location/ university, in the preferred State of deployment
Program Construct:
Intense bootcamp on the topics, covered in the online program.
In-person demos and interactions.
What You Get:
Intense learning and engagement with existing academic mentors and campus managers.
Travel and stay in the location, paid for by Kalvium.
Campus Internship: Duration 1 Month
Location: On campus teaching internship.
Program Construct:
In campus exposure to campus delivery
Shadowing existing technical mentors on classes understanding pedagogy and delivery
processes.
What You Get:
Complete internship exposure on the academic mentor role.
On Completion Of The Internship Program:
- Have a guaranteed Offer for conversion to the full-time role as an Academic Mentor at Kalvium.
- INR 20,000/- as Stipend (INR 5,000/- for the bootcamp and INR 15,000/- for the 1 Month Campus Internship) paid on the month of joining the full-time role.
- 2 Kalvium Certificates (A) Academic Mentor Essentials (B) Basics of Full Stack Development.
Pay And Benefits For The Full-time Role
INR 5,00,000/- Annual CTC (INR 4,50,000/- Fixed + INR 50,000/- Performance linked Pay)
INR 1,00,000/- as PhD benefits with facilitation to register for the program in the University where the Academic Mentor is deployed.

In this path, Academic mentors can build on their academic and research path (with PhD program linkages).
Possibility to move and gain exposure across 17+ campuses across India (subject to vacancies).
Program Design / Instructional Design Path:
(Available post 2 yrs as academic mentor) Central role in Bangalore or Chennai Curating and building cutting edge industry aligned programs.
Management Path:
(Available post 2 yrs as academic mentor) Pursue path of Campus Manager / Program Delivery Manager.
Industry Path:
(Available post 2 yrs as academic mentor) Placement in Tech team of Kalvium or out-placement opportunities with leading tech companies in India.
