Academic Manager – AI Learning Platform

Freadom Edu is building an AI-powered ecosystem to strengthen foundational literacy and communication skills at scale. The Academic Manager will anchor the academic quality of this ecosystem—ensuring that all content, assessments, and learning experiences are pedagogically sound, level-appropriate, and outcome-driven.

This role requires someone who can combine strong classroom understanding with structured academic design, while also working closely with AI-driven content systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and impact.

1. Academic Design & Framework Alignment

• Own the academic integrity of the platform across grades and levels
• Ensure alignment of all content with frameworks such as CEFR, Lexile, and the Science of Reading
• Define learning progressions across reading, comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and writing
• Establish benchmarks for grade-wise and level-wise learning outcomes

2. Content Oversight & Curation

• Lead curation and development of level-aligned content across formats (stories, assessments, activities)
• Review and validate content for pedagogical accuracy, difficulty level, and engagement
• Ensure consistency in content structure, tagging, and progression across the platform

3. AI-Integrated Content Systems

• Work closely with GenAI tools to scale content creation while maintaining quality
• Design and refine workflows for AI-generated content (prompting, validation, iteration)
• Set academic guidelines and guardrails for AI outputs

4. Assessment & Rubric Development

• Design assessment frameworks for baseline, midline, and endline evaluations
• Build detailed rubrics to evaluate comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and writing
• Ensure assessments are diagnostic, level-appropriate, and aligned to learning goals

5. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

• Establish academic quality benchmarks and review protocols
• Use learner data, teacher feedback, and usage insights to improve content effectiveness
• Continuously refine academic strategy based on evidence and outcomes

6. Teacher & Classroom Alignment

• Ensure platform content is usable and relevant in classroom contexts
• Support development of teacher-facing resources and implementation guides
• Incorporate on-ground feedback into academic design

• Teaching Experience (Mandatory): 4–7+ years in K-12 (English/language preferred)
• Strong grounding in pedagogical frameworks (CEFR, Lexile, Bloom's Taxonomy, Science of Reading)
• Experience in curriculum design, academic planning, or content leadership
• Ability to design assessment frameworks and detailed rubrics
• Experience working with or adapting to AI/GenAI tools for content workflows
• Strong academic judgment with attention to learning outcomes and progression
• Ability to interpret data and translate insights into academic improvements

• Experience with adaptive learning platforms or EdTech products
• Familiarity with ORF (WCPM), reading diagnostics, and literacy benchmarks
• Experience working in low-income or government school contexts
• Exposure to large-scale program implementation or academic audits

• Clear, structured learning pathways aligned to levels and outcomes
• High-quality, consistent content that reflects strong academic rigor
• Assessments that accurately track and improve learning outcomes
• Effective integration of AI without compromising pedagogical integrity
• Continuous academic improvement driven by data and classroom insights
